Welcome to Dai ichi!

We are a family owned and operated restaurant established in 2001. Food is our passion, running deep in our blood and brewed in our history. We have over 30 years of experience in running successful restaurants in the Greater Toronto Area. Our family started out with a small twenty seat restaurant in the heart of downtown Toronto way before sushi was a popular mainstream food back in the mid 1980’s!

Great food begins with great ingredients. Over the years we have developed a great relationship with many of the best purveyors and suppliers ensuring that we only get the freshest fish and meats. Our head chef also personally goes to the Ontario Food Terminal twice a week for all of our produce needs, buying local Ontario grown whenever possible.

We are the best choice for those in search of delicious Japanese and Korean cuisines. Our extensive menu has something for everyone ranging from the freshest cuts of traditional sashimi and sushi, to creative fusion rolls. We also serve delicious Korean favorites such as char-grilled Kalbi, healthy Bibimbap, crispy Kam Poong Gi, and much more.
